Instagram Takes On Youtube By Launching It's Own TV App -IGTV As It Hits 1 Billion Users


Instagram has set it's sights on a new competitor after they hit a billion users globally - Youtube.



However this time they'll be focusing on vertical videos -those videos you can watch full screen without rotating your device.





Unlike it's default app you can actually post a video that's longer than a minute


However it's just been increased to one hour.  Don't get it twisted though, IGTV is actually a separate application from Instagram, Once you launch it you don't need to search for content as content from those you're already following that have joined IGTV will be there.



You can also ‘Like’, comment and send videos to your friends by via message.

As an Instagram matrix, Facebook’s push for video has been very powerful during the last years due to the untiring advertising revenues it provides and the users’ preference when it comes to consuming content.
