New Snapchat Spectacles finally look like actual sunglasses

Two new designs for Snapchat Spectacles have just landed, and these two new looks actually appear to be sunglasses you'd normally wear.

These are still part of the Snapchat Spectacles 2 range, but the two new designs are called Veronica and Nico that come with a black frame and polarized lenses so you can comfortably wear them in the sun.

The tech is all the same onboard, so you'll be able to film 10-second clips of video and post it to your Snapchat. A software update earlier in the year means you can now take your recordings and share them on other social media sites too.

The glasses are water-resistant so it won't matter if the weather changes and they get rained on, and they sync with either your Android or iPhone whenever it's nearby.

A new look

Unlike most of the other designs available for Snapchat Spectacles 2, these don't include the accented color around the lens so you may find some people mistake these for actual glasses. That said, when look closer you can see the cameras in the top corners.

You can now buy the new looks from the official Spectacles website where the two new designs are more expensive than the original designs at $199.99 or £199.99 (about AU$360). Normal Snapchat Spectacles 2 cost $149.99 or £149.99.

According to TechCrunch, the second gen of Spectacles have recorded 40% more than the original glasses did, so it may be we see even further updates and support for the platform soon.
