Apple iPhones named the Most Sold Smartphones and Most Searched on Google
2017 is gradually coming to an end, and most companies are already giving reports of what went down throughout the year. Google did the same when it released its traditional yearly recap which revealed that Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone X are the second and third most searched terms for 2017.
This is a global ranking result, but you can explore specific countries to see what was searched most in your region or country. In the Consumer Tech category, these Apple devices were also the most looked up words, followed by Nintendo Switch and the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Counterpoint, a market intelligence firm released their latest available data for the most sold phones globally in October, where iPhone 8 and 8 Plus topped the chart. These two devices pose as favourites in terms of sales, and hot on their heels is Korean rival Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and S8+.
Dominating Counterpoint’s top 10 charts of the most sold smartphones, four out of them are Apple’s iPhones, three are Samsung handsets, while the remaining three are smartphones from Chinese OEMs: Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo.
